概要

幌加内町新そば祭りは、日本一のそば処であり、日本最寒の地として知られる幌加内町の町おこしとして平成6 年から開催されました。
祭りでは地元の幌加内そばだけでなく、全国のそば打ち名人が集結しその腕を披露したり、そば打ち講習会が開催されるなど、幌加内を堪能できるイベントとなっており、現在では人口1,500 人の町に、2 日間で述べ5 万人が訪れるなど、大きな注目を集めています。


Summary
Horokanai's New Soba Festival is the best place for buckwheat soba noodles in Japan. It started in 1994 as a part of economic development in Horokanai, which is known for being the coldest area in Japan. The festival offers not only the local Horokanai soba, but soba chefs from all over the country come together and serve their soba noodles and provide noodle making workshops. The event is a great way to enjoy Horokanai. It has become very popular, drawing 50,000 visitors over 2 days in a town that has a population of only 1,500.
