概要

「大凸部（おおとんぶ）展望台」は、東京都青ヶ島村にある展望台です。青ヶ島は伊豆諸島の属し、有人の島として最も南に位置する火山島であり、日本一人口が少ない村として知られています。
大凸部展望台は標高423m の山の上にあり、島でもっとも高い場所にあり、展望台からは島全体を見下ろすことができます。
展望台から見下ろすと、島がカルデラの構造できていることがはっきりとわかり、外側の山と内側の山（丸山）の二重の窪みの構造は、世界でもあまりみることができない絶景です。


Summary
The Otonbu Observatory is located in Aogashima village, Tokyo. Aogashima is one of the Izu Islands, and is famous as a volcanic island located in the Southernmost part of the islands. It is also known as the village with the smallest population in Japan. The Otonbu Observatory is on a mountain at an altitude of 423m and is the highest point on the island. It is possible to view the whole island from the observatory. When looking down from the observatory, you can clearly see that the island has a caldera structure, and the mountain on the outer side and the one on the inner side (Maruyama) have a two-fold hollow structure, making a view the like of which is rarely seen in the world.
