「建築の日本展：その遺伝子のもたらすもの」は、森美術館（東京・六本木）で開催される、日本建築をテーマとした展覧会です。
丹下健三、谷口吉生、安藤忠雄、妹島和世など、日本人建築家たちがこれほどまでに国際的に高い評価を得ているのはなぜでしょうか。日本の現代建築が、古代からの豊かな伝統を礎とし、他に類を見ない独創的な発想と表現を内包しているからだとはいえないでしょうか。
「建築の日本展」では、日本建築を読み解く鍵となる9 つの特質で章を編成し、古代から現代まで、その底流に潜む遺伝子を考察し、日本建築の本質に迫ります。


Summary
Japan in Architecture Exhibition: Genealogies of Its Transformation will be held at the Mori Art Museum (Roppongi, Tokyo). This is an exhibition themed around Japanese architecture. Why have Japanese architects, such as Kenzo Tange, Yoshio Taniguchi, Tadao Ando, and Kazuyo Sejima received such international acclaim? Surely, this can be said to the way that modern architecture in Japan encapsulates rare original concepts and expressions based on rich traditions inherited from the ancient past. The Japan in Architecture Exhibition is formed of chapters with nine essential characteristics that are the key to understanding Japanese architecture, and by observing the DNA lurking within these undercurrents from the ancient times to the present day, it hones in on the essential nature of Japanese architecture.
