概要

秋田県仙北市の田沢湖～八幡平を結ぶ国道３４１号線とアスピーテラインは、龍ゆかりのたつこ姫のいる田沢湖、龍のように体をくねらせながら蛇行する玉川、その最上流部に位置する八幡平の頂上付近に5月下旬から6月上旬頃のみ姿を表す鏡沼（八幡平ドラゴンアイ）やメガネ沼を巡る山岳道路。
ドラゴンアイが開眼する5月下旬から6月中旬頃、沿道の宝仙湖や秋扇湖には、芽吹き始めた新緑が水につかる水没林が各所に見られ、残雪のブナ林とともに、映えスポットを巡れます。
また八幡平市へと抜けるアスピーテラインは、秋田県側、岩手県側ともに、４月下旬から高い雪壁に囲まれた雪の回廊として人気があり、県境を越えた絶景巡りが楽しめます。


Summary
In Akita Prefecture on National Route 34 and the Aspite Line lies an area connected with dragons. Lake Tazawako is home to the dragon princess Tatsuko, Tamagawa River weaves likes the shape of a snake dragon, and from late May to early June, the Hachimantai Dragon Eye appears from the icy pond near the summit.
During this time, when the Dragon eye “opens,” the green buds start to appear from the remaining snow from winter and the forest tree trunks are submerge in lakes of melted snow to create some wonderful photo opportunities.

In addition, near the end of April, the Aspite Line, which runs along the Akita and Iwate border becomes an ice corridor with tall snow walls on both sides, which makes for a wonderful scenic drive.

大自然が作った奇跡だと思います。ドラゴンアイはもちろん素晴らしいが、山頂までには車やバスの路線コースと色々散策コースもあり、ドラゴンアイ以外にも色々楽しめる場所です。
